Market Manager

Since taking over the markets contract, Wendy Fair Markets have strived to make the market vibrant and a pleasant place to work. Their contract has come at a very difficult economic time where retail in general is struggling. Despite this, the market still retains a good core of regular traders. The market also has a new manager. Mr. Bernie Hunter, who has, in a short period of time organised and "cleaned" up the market area to a very high standard. He and his team have endeared themselves to the traders and are to be applauded for their efforts.

Sad News

On Sunday, 8th November long standing trader Barry Smith passed away at home after a short illness. Barry had been selling vacuum related products for many years and had made many friends at the market. He had a great sense of humour and was "one of the characters" of the market with whom all traders got on well with. He will be sadly missed by all those that knew him and especially those that stood near him! The market sends our condolences to his wife Val and all of his family, our thoughts are with you.
